When I woke up in the morning without my heart racing,
Without money worries or stressing
About messing up, and underdressing.
About messing up, and underdressing.
I miss counting blessings,
And obsessing,
About boys and friends and kissing.
When having a boyfriend meant you were pretty and promising,
And the biggest things to worry about were exams, and fibbing,
To your parents, when you didn't do so well.
To your parents, when you didn't do so well.
But most of all, I miss the ignorance
And innocence,
That comes from being young.
And free.
